Job Title: CASS Manager

CASS Manager is a key role within the Finance Department at CMC Markets, responsible for leading the Client Asset Management Team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Client Asset Money regime (CASS) and similar regulations imposed by other regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Client Asset Team in the UK, providing services to Group entities in other jurisdictions.
  • Ensure the firm is in compliance with CASS obligations and similar regulations.
  • Assume Controlled Function responsibilities for CASS and work alongside the SMF.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of client assets throughout the group.
  • Assist with the annual CASS audit and liaise with the auditor.
  • Interpret CASS requirements for new Investment products and services.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Business Intelligence, and Operations teams to ensure robust CASS controls.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Detailed understanding of CASS rules, specifically CASS 6, 7 & 8.
  • Experience managing a team and developing Team Members.
  • Prior working experience in a CASS function at an investment management firm.
  • Good working knowledge of financial markets and related products.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Confident communicator and good understanding of accounting and reconciliations.
