Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Manager for a prominent organization that specializes in vehicle management. This role involves overseeing and maintaining the company's fleet of automobiles while ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fleet Management Expertise: Proven experience in a Fleet Management role is essential.
  • Regional Vehicle Oversight: Ability to manage multiple vehicles across different regions simultaneously.
  • Large Fleet Experience: Experience managing a fleet of 40 or more vehicles.
  • Leadership Skills: A meticulous and organized individual with strong leadership capabilities.

Financial and Account Management Duties

  • Ensure that accounts are maintained, including topping up wallets for tolls and charges as necessary.
  • Manage the Motor Insurance Database (M.I.D).
  • Oversee fuel card operations.
  • Coordinate employee fault damage reimbursements with HR for payroll processing.
  • Handle PCN and speeding fines, liaising with HR for recurring issues.

Vehicle Procurement and Maintenance

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Finance Director to source new company vehicles in line with P11D values.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing, MOTs, and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all vehicle-related activities.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure road legality.
  • Manage hire vehicle renewals and end-of-lease processes effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with garages and service centers.

Licensing, Insurance, and Compliance Management

  • Oversee the vehicle accident and incident reporting process.
  • Manage all insurance claims, both own and third-party.
  • Conduct regular checks and reporting of driving licenses in collaboration with HR.
  • Facilitate driver assessments and ensure proper inductions.
  • Keep the Driver Handbook updated and manage the distribution to drivers.
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly taxed and compliant with road regulations.
