Job Summary
We are seeking a Transport Operations Supervisor to join our team at a distribution facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing compliant, efficient, and profitable transport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure all customer requirements are satisfied daily.
- Customer Interface: Act as a key management interface with customers, providing exceptional service and support.
- Fleet Management: Co-ordinate own fleet and sub-contract to ensure cost-effective solutions for customer requirements.
- Driver Management: Day-to-day driver management, ensuring drivers are equipped to meet customer needs.
- Team Development: Develop and lead a team of logistics professionals, providing skills and training to meet operational requirements and efficiency improvements.
- Supplier Management: Manage suppliers, including sub-contractors, agencies, and repair and maintenance service agents, to ensure all operational costs are controlled.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of logistics operations and a proven track record of delivering results.
