About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our Psychiatric Liaison Service team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide mental health provision in Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe General Hospital, working autonomously and competently at Band 6 level when undertaking assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments for patients in crisis and possess excellent risk assessment skills.
  • Arrange and provide brief evidence-based psycho-social treatments for patients who have self-harmed.
  • Support timely and safe discharge from the wards across SMH and for older adults admitted to WGH.
  • Contribute to reducing unnecessary inpatient admissions to secondary care and to support and maintain appropriate care packages for patients as an alternative to admission.
Person Specification
  • Current Registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience in Crisis assessments.
  • Registered student mentor (desirable).
  • Psychosocial intervention qualification (desirable).
  • Post graduate qualifications (desirable).
