Job Title: Rail Fitter Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Rail Fitter Technician to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities on SISS (Station Information and Security Systems) across our Train Operating Companies contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily reactive maintenance activities across SISS and Telephony systems, including CCTV systems, IP Networks, Help Points, Screens, Public Address, CIS, PAVA, and Wi-Fi.
  2. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual planned maintenance activities as defined by the Team Leader.
  3. Monitor systems remotely to identify issues and implement fixes.
  4. Test and fault-find on equipment, systems, and associated infrastructure cabling (copper/fibre).
  5. Undertake technical investigations and audits.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience of undertaking maintenance activities, both corrective and planned, to ensure effective restoration/repair of customer systems.
  2. Knowledge of Communications systems and their applications.
  3. Proven fault-finding skills and experience, including the use of suitable test equipment.
  4. Proven IT skills (laptop, Office 365).
  5. Experience of working with SLA driven maintenance contracts.
  6. Good organisational skills, including multitasking and time management.
  7. Full UK driving licence.
