Key Responsibilities:

Crafting Consumer Surveys: Collaborate with report managers across North America and Brazil to develop consumer questionnaires that fulfill research goals and yield valuable insights. Quantitative Data Analysis: Utilize R or comparable statistical software to analyze and compile quantitative consumer research data, while exploring or creating innovative analysis methods. Statistical Advisory: Serve as a consultant to external teams, offering expertise in selecting appropriate research methodologies, devising sampling strategies, and interpreting statistical findings. Market Projections: Take charge of market forecasting by leveraging data from Mintel's market size database, employing a multivariate time-series regression with ARIMA errors methodology. Research Methodology Development: Lead and participate in the formulation of research methodologies and statistical techniques to enhance Mintel's deliverables. In-House Knowledge Development: Assist in designing, conducting, and assessing internal consumer research training, covering aspects such as questionnaire design, data analysis, and statistics. Supplier Relationship Management: Coordinate with external research providers to ensure research is executed within budget and timelines. Internal Database Maintenance: Collect market data through secondary research, including industry or government sources, and recommend new secondary data sources for Mintel's reports. Operational Process Implementation: Play a vital role in the rollout of new operational advancements within the research department, proactively seeking ways to enhance best practices. Contribution to Predictive Modeling: Collaborate with various departments to expand Mintel's predictive modeling capabilities, acting as a liaison between consumer research and data science teams.

Data Science Familiarity: Comfortable with Python and SQL, with experience in developing predictive or machine learning models. Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to quality, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Curiosity: An inquisitive mindset with the ability to navigate complex data and ask insightful questions to uncover patterns and insights. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of adapting style to various audiences and effectively presenting analytical findings.
