About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team at Mecca Bingo as a Culinary Team Member, working weekends only. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Safety: Ensure all food preparation is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to Mecca Bingo's brand guidelines.
  • Efficient Kitchen Operations: Work efficiently to minimize food wastage and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Cooking and Service: Prepare and serve food in line with Mecca Bingo's brand standards, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our customers.
  • Kitchen Teamwork: Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a productive and efficient working environment.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure all daily and weekly food safety checks are completed, and due diligence record keeping is maintained, including fridge and freezer temperatures.
  • Cleanliness and Tidiness: Maintain the kitchen environment to the highest levels of cleanliness and tidiness, adhering to Mecca Bingo's standards.
  • Equipment Safety: Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following Mecca Bingo's guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Support a productive and efficient working environment, working collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals.
  • Opening and Closing Procedures: Ensure the kitchen opening and closing procedures are followed at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the kitchen and back-of-house area are safe and secure, adhering to Mecca Bingo's health and safety standards.
  • Reporting Incidents: Report any accidents or near misses through Mecca Bingo's designated channels.
  • Responsible Gambling: Uphold Mecca Bingo's commitment to protecting young and vulnerable people, in accordance with our responsible gambling policy and procedures.
  • Licensing Objectives: Be aware of the three Licensing Objectives to protect customers and the business, as outlined by the Gambling Commission.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation setting is essential.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible in working shifts and as per business requirements.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Have knowledge of HACCP and food safety guidelines.
