About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Pertemps TM. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and process improvement across our cutting-edge projects in the aerospace and manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product and Process Development:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development, automation, and product development initiatives.
    • Develop specifications for new products, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to industry standards.
    • Organize production trials and maintain accurate test results.
    • Stay up-to-date on technological advancements and customer requirements.
    • Design and implement process improvements to meet customer needs.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Maintain and develop processes, equipment, and knowledge management databases to ensure quality and efficiency.
    • Implement system and procedural improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
    • Manage documentation for process control and training, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Lead problem resolution and apply zero-defect tools to minimize errors.
    • Develop and communicate quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvement.
    • Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Managerial Duties:
    • Formulate business strategies and contribute to overall business objectives, aligning with company goals.
    • Stay informed of financial and commercial issues affecting budgets and plans, making informed decisions.
    • Maintain clear communication on targets, development, and performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    • Deputise for the Operations Manager as needed, providing leadership and support.
    Requirements
    • Experience with AS9100 and Nadcap approvals, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Degree in Engineering, Materials, or Chemistry, with a strong foundation in technical principles.
    • Quality Improvement qualification/training is desirable, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
    • Background in aerospace/engineering/manufacturing, with a deep understanding of industry challenges and opportunities.
    • Team management and supply chain resolution experience, with a proven track record of success.
    • Proficient in quality improvement and process optimization (Lean, Six Sigma), with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Competent in digital business process tools, with a willingness to learn and implement new technologies.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and drive results.
