Job Title: Technical Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Pertemps TM. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our technical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.

Key Responsibilities:Product & Process Development:
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support R&D, automation, and product development.
  • Develop specifications for new products, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to industry standards.
  • Organize production trials and maintain accurate test results.
  • Stay up-to-date on technological advancements and customer needs to inform product development.
  • Design and improve processes to meet customer requirements and drive business growth.
Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain and develop processes, equipment, and knowledge management databases to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Implement system and procedural improvements to enhance quality and reduce defects.
  • Manage documentation for process control and training to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure product specification accuracy and confidentiality to maintain customer trust.
  • Lead problem resolution and apply zero-defect tools to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and communicate quality metrics and KPIs to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Managerial Duties:
  • Formulate business strategies and contribute to overall business objectives to drive growth and success.
  • Stay informed of financial and commercial issues affecting budgets and plans to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain clear communication on targets, development, and performance to ensure alignment and motivation.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager when needed to ensure seamless leadership and continuity.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Experience with AS9100 and Nadcap approvals to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Degree in Engineering, Materials, or Chemistry to provide a strong foundation in technical knowledge.
  • Quality Improvement qualification/training is desirable to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Background in aerospace/engineering/manufacturing to provide a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Team management and supply chain resolution experience to drive collaboration and efficiency.
  • Proficient in quality improvement and process optimisation (Lean, Six Sigma) to drive business growth and excellence.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills to drive results and overcome challenges.
  • Competent in digital business process tools to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and effective communication with stakeholders.
