This esteemed, family-owned construction firm specializes in the renovation, extension, and refurbishment of unique and historic properties.


They are seeking a Senior Construction Project Leader to oversee a significant phase of one of their most prestigious luxury residential developments.

You will collaborate closely with a Quantity Surveyor and Site Manager, reporting directly to the Project Director on-site.

The project encompasses a comprehensive refurbishment of a historic estate set within expansive grounds, featuring multiple high-value initiatives under a single contract, including the restoration of listed buildings and the development of new facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and coordinating all project-related activities.
  • Establishing, reviewing, and executing project strategies.
  • Utilizing advanced project management software for scheduling, reporting, and analysis.
  • Managing personnel, including team leadership, recruitment, and client relations.
  • Interpreting JCT contracts and managing notifications, claims, and disputes.
  • Collaborating with commercial team members to oversee procurement and ensure precise reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of compliance issues and utilizing company protocols.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience managing projects valued between £2M and £6M.
  • Ability to navigate and manage complex project information.
  • Technical knowledge of construction methods, including both contemporary and traditional practices.
  • Proficiency in various IT software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and project management tools.

Qualifications:

SMSTS Certification Required
This position may also be referred to as Site Manager, Construction Manager, or Contracts Manager.
