Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Thorlabs. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by conducting inspections, testing, and evaluating the performance of our components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of components and assemblies to ensure compliance with dimensional and visual specifications.
- Operate manual measuring equipment and software to collect data and make measurements.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inspection and testing.
- Liaise with production team leaders to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Escalate repeated quality process-related concerns to the Quality Engineering team for root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and the RMA and Quality teams.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external RMA and Quality teams to ensure compliance of products.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as raising NCRs, Corrective Actions reports, and logging faults.
- Assist with stock control in the RMA and Q1 warehouses and process RMA sales orders.
- Good understanding of metrology and measurement systems.
- Previous use of measuring tools and equipment.
- Understanding of software and measurement systems.
- Detail-oriented with ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Computer literate with experience using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask, time manage, and work independently.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
- Adhering to core values and driven positive attitude.
- Ability to take initiatives and approach continuous improvement activities positively.
- Receptive to new challenges and expanding current knowledge.
- Quick learner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
