Key Responsibilities:HR Responsibilities:
  • Handle initial HR queries and escalate as necessary, ensuring high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure policies are understood and followed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Provide advice on employment law and ensure compliance.
  • Manage grievances and disciplinary actions in line with company policies.
  • Offer support and advice on various employee issues.
  • Ensure accurate recording and administration of contract changes.
  • Draft HR letters including disciplinary actions, amendments to terms, reference letters, etc.
  • Participate in and contribute to HR projects as required.
  • Attend and take notes at meetings when required.
  • Ensure compliance with right to work policies and HR compliance regulations.
Payroll Responsibilities:
  • Manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing.
  • Oversee the time and attendance software and generate timesheet reports for approval.
  • Accurately input all payroll-related data.
  • Handle HMRC documentation (P45, P60, etc.) and manage attachments of earnings and statutory deductions.
  • Administer the company's auto-enrolment pension scheme.
  • Oversee company benefits and liaise with HMRC and pension advisors.
  • Maintain payroll processing system and records, handling data input, discrepancies, and confidentiality.
  • Address staff questions regarding wages, deductions, and attendance.
  • Follow payroll policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll records.
  • Complete payroll reports for internal record-keeping and managerial review.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in HR and payroll, with a background in stand-alone or autonomous roles preferred.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in HR or payroll, or working towards this qualification.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, confident in guiding and influencing management, with the ability to challenge and impact internal decision-making.
