About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in implementing effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group work support to students, fostering their communication, social skills, and independence.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans, ensuring students receive the necessary support.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of students and contribute to a positive school ethos.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
