GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one and small group work support to students, fostering their communication, social skills, and independence.
- Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans, ensuring students receive the necessary support.
- Contribute to the overall well-being of students and contribute to a positive school ethos.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
