We are seeking a skilled Insurance Advisor who leverages their expertise in the Insurance Sector to cultivate robust, trustworthy, and lucrative relationships with clients and customers. This position can be based in either our Haverhill or Norwich offices.
What does the role of an Insurance Advisor entail?
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy nurturing relationships and providing a comprehensive service to commercial clients, assisting them in selecting the appropriate Insurance products tailored to their requirements.
Our Insurance Advisors excel in quoting and securing coverage when requested, managing and binding renewals, addressing mid-term adjustments, brokering client needs within the insurance marketplace, and offering support to Account Executives as necessary.
You will operate autonomously and oversee client needs within a busy portfolio that encompasses all business sectors and classes of commercial insurance. This may involve client interactions and visits.
Key Responsibilities
Below is an overview of your responsibilities, which are not exhaustive. In collaboration with your Line Manager, you will establish your own objectives while focusing on the following:
Assist your Account Executive in all aspects of managing client accounts. Ensure precision, efficiency, and professionalism when interacting with both clients and insurers, and handling related administrative tasks concerning: New business, Renewals, Mid-Term Adjustments, Queries, Premium financing arrangements, Cover note issuance. Ensure all business activities comply with FCA regulations and company protocols as outlined in the compliance manual. Address any complaints in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards. Participate in learning, training, and assessment activities in line with the individual T&C scheme applicable to you. Identify additional areas for personal development as needed. Achieve and maintain a high standard of customer service and promote exceptional customer care at all times. Build and sustain a professional rapport with all clients, providing expert product advice and guidance within timely frameworks. Manage and maintain an effective client diary management system. Encourage and enhance the utilization of in-house premium finance from insurer schemes.Required Experience for our Insurance Advisor
It is essential that you possess some insurance experience, ideally in a broking environment and preferably within commercial lines, as you will be delivering a complete commercial lines experience to existing clients. Experience with Open GI and relevant qualifications would be advantageous, although we provide ample opportunities to obtain these once you join us.
