About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conveyancing Secretary to join our team at Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our conveyancing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of documents and correspondence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the flow of documents and correspondence in and out of the department.
  • Prepare and type legal documents from hand-written notes or digital dictation.
  • Scan, email, and fax correspondence and documents as required.
  • Undertake file management, including opening and closing files and filing relevant documents.
  • Photocopying, including preparing trial bundles.
  • Answer routine calls and take new enquiries and messages.
  • Manage the Fee Earners diary, organizing internal and external meetings.
  • Provide support to other secretaries in the department or across the firm as needed.
Requirements
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Word. Basic PowerPoint and Excel skills are also desirable.
  • Telephone skills.
  • Interest in legal matters and understanding of the need for confidentiality.
  • A well-organized, careful, and conscientious approach.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, planning time and priorities.
  • Clear speaking and writing skills.
  • Good grammar and grasp of the English language.
  • Enjoy contact with others and possess good social skills.
  • Smart appearance.
Qualifications/Education
  • Good standard of general education, especially English.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Word processing skills/qualification.
  • Training as a legal secretary or relevant qualification.
