We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conveyancing Secretary to join our team at Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our conveyancing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of documents and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the flow of documents and correspondence in and out of the department.
- Prepare and type legal documents from hand-written notes or digital dictation.
- Scan, email, and fax correspondence and documents as required.
- Undertake file management, including opening and closing files and filing relevant documents.
- Photocopying, including preparing trial bundles.
- Answer routine calls and take new enquiries and messages.
- Manage the Fee Earners diary, organizing internal and external meetings.
- Provide support to other secretaries in the department or across the firm as needed.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Word. Basic PowerPoint and Excel skills are also desirable.
- Telephone skills.
- Interest in legal matters and understanding of the need for confidentiality.
- A well-organized, careful, and conscientious approach.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, planning time and priorities.
- Clear speaking and writing skills.
- Good grammar and grasp of the English language.
- Enjoy contact with others and possess good social skills.
- Smart appearance.
- Good standard of general education, especially English.
- Numerate and literate.
- Word processing skills/qualification.
- Training as a legal secretary or relevant qualification.
