About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical nutrition team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nutrition support to patients across our community health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support registered dietitians with dietetic management of delegated Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) patients in their own homes and nursing homes, and nutrition support (NS) patients in community inpatient wards.
  • Manage a defined caseload of HEN and NS patients under the guidance of a registered Dietitian.
  • Implement and review dietetic treatment plans for HEN and NS patients under the care of the dietetic service.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans for delegated patients.
  • Review patients on delegated HEN and NS caseload: Use judgment to review aims, modify, and adapt treatment plans.
  • Collect and assess audit data to help monitor usage of equipment and implement changes to practice where appropriate.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3/3 A levels or equivalent.
  • Evidence of a good standard of education with 5 GCSE's Grade C and above, or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
  • Experience and/or knowledge/training in clinical nutrition.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of working independently and reporting back to supervisors.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
  • Car driver/owner and able to use car for work.
