{"Job Title": "Lead Operative/Ganger", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Operative/Ganger to join our Highways Maintenance Team in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a gang of operatives to carry out highway maintenance works safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

* Lead a minimum of two operatives to carry out work in accordance with design drawings and specifications
* Take ownership and leadership of the gang, including daily material ordering and planning
* Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health, safety, and welfare of all personnel
* Operate small plant and equipment used in highway maintenance, with guidance from the Site Supervisor
* Install traffic management under instruction, in accordance with method statements
* Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out system covering the Peterborough Highway Services network

Requirements:

* A clean UK driving license
* Highways work experience
* Willingness to work outside of normal hours and weekends as required
* Good customer care skills
* Demonstration of capability to gain HGV Class C license during probationary period
* LGV/HGV Class C license
* NRSWA and CSCS certifications
* Skilled and knowledgeable in patching, kerbing, ironworks, drainage, and other aspects of highway maintenance works
