Below is the job description for the position of Facilities Management Bid Specialist.
This role involves competing for projects and contracts at both national and international levels, focusing on large, intricate, and long-term initiatives with global stakeholders.
HSB Technical's client is a highly respected and established organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Management Bid Specialist:

  • Leading the preparation and coordination of company tenders, bids, and proposals.
  • Identifying, tracking, and disseminating public tender opportunities within the organization.
  • Assisting Project Managers in the management and delivery of proposals.
  • Managing registrations on procurement platforms and updating company profiles accordingly.
  • Developing, overseeing, and submitting proposals while ensuring adherence to our internal quality assurance protocols.
  • Managing MEP Peterson mailboxes for tender opportunities.
  • Collaborating with staff and the MEP Technical Oversight Team during proposal evaluations.
  • Working with the Technical Oversight Team to pinpoint strategic opportunities.
  • Aiding the Technical Oversight Team in generating operational reports.
  • Supporting the Office Manager in maintaining and enhancing proposal databases, including lead trackers, Smart Sheets, Teamwork, and CV/reference databases.
  • Nurturing relationships with clients and international implementing agencies.
  • Providing assistance with broader operational tasks as required by your line manager.
  • Demonstrating experience in managing multiple priorities, projects, and outputs under tight deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements for the Facilities Management Bid Specialist:

  • Relevant qualifications in marine, fisheries, aquaculture, sustainability, biology, or science.
  • Project Management qualifications (e.g., CDM) are desirable.
  • Completion of bid/tender courses.
  • Experience in competitive and time-sensitive tender/bid/proposal writing.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for bids/tenders.
