Job Title: HVAC Engineer

This is a key position within City Facilities Management, responsible for carrying out planned refrigeration case maintenance programs across multiple site locations. The successful candidate will manage and supervise a team of case maintenance technicians, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while complying with the company's Health and Safety policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times, developing good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ensure refrigeration case maintenance schedules are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Be aware of regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks, including de-merchandising and remerchandising of refrigeration units, utilization of chemicals, and coordination of case maintenance team activities.
  • Notify the company helpdesk of procedural task conditions for action by the refrigeration engineer.
  • Ensure sign-off of completed works by the client.
  • Work with the company and client to maintain laid-down standards of quality at all times.
  • Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the company.
  • Support the achievement of company KPIs.
  • Ensure all systems are working to optimum energy efficiency.
  • Provide flexibility to service delivery by supporting other engineering disciplines when required.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
People Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise a team of case maintenance technicians.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Retail experience (desirable)
  • Cleaning or maintenance industry experience (desirable)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Achievement of maintenance programs within agreed timescales.
  • Speed and efficiency of work.
  • Helpful and friendly manner.
