Position Overview:
As an Electric Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will be tasked with performing routine servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on advanced electrical vehicles. You will oversee vehicle inspections in accordance with maintenance protocols, ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and defect-free units. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in your work and that of your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical maintenance in compliance with established standards and maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all maintenance records before validation by the Shift Production Manager (SPM).
- Report to the Shift Production Manager regarding any outstanding tasks at the end of your shift.
- Operate powered machinery, lifting, and mechanical handling equipment.
- Identify and report any issues related to processes, tools, and documentation to the Shift Production Manager or Facility Management Team.
- Recognize and address potential Health and Safety concerns.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and depot procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to the highest standards.
- Assist the SPM in achieving Quality, Waste Reduction, Delivery, and Health & Safety objectives.
- Prepare detailed reports on specific fault-finding investigations.
- Propose potential improvements and provide feedback to the Engineering team.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance processes.
- Mentor staff in best practices and quality standards, supporting the Shift Production Manager in identifying training needs.
Ideal Candidate:
A dedicated professional capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
Required Experience:
- Proven history of performing safety-critical tasks.
- Ability to conduct thorough fault analysis by interpreting electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
- Extensive knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Principles.
- Proficient in using a maintenance management system for work documentation.
Qualifications:
Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in an Electrical discipline.
