About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team at Hallmark Luxury Care Homes. As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents by maintaining high standards in and around our homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Excellence: Utilise your experience in maintenance, building, DIY, and housekeeping to keep our facilities in top condition, ensuring residents enjoy a safe and comfortable environment.
- Health & Safety Focus: Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant health and safety regulations, implementing procedures to uphold compliance and protect our residents and staff.
- Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, with attention to detail and precision.
- Communication Skills: Engage with residents, families, and colleagues warmly and respectfully, providing clear and helpful communication to address maintenance needs and concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow team members to prioritise tasks, respond promptly to requests, and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Maintenance Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance role or strong handyman skills, coupled with a proactive and can-do attitude to tackle tasks both big and small.
- Health & Safety Knowledge: Good understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to upholding compliance standards to ensure the safety of our residents and team members.
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- IT Proficiency: Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Word and email, to support administrative tasks and communication effectively.
