Job Title: Workplace Lead

Job Summary

The Workplace Lead will be responsible for managing the Corporate Services and Workspace requirements of Investec Plc. This includes planning and day-to-day operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and sustainable working environment for staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear briefs to external project managers and other design and delivery team members.
  • Manage delivery of projects through appointed external project managers.
  • Attend and chair key project meetings.
  • Brief and performance manage other external agencies.
  • Intervene to resolve significant project issues.
  • Keep line manager informed and updated on project progress.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop annual and project budgets.
  • Work closely with the Investec PMO.
Requirements
  • Construction-related industry experience.
  • Degree qualified in engineering or property-related subject.
  • Knowledge of contract, health & safety, and employment law.
  • Broad understanding of construction project management and property industry.
  • High degree of personal motivation and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit management team.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills.
  • Flexibility with regard to working hours.
  • Good negotiator.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Problem-solving, judgement, and decision-making skills.
