Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Whittington Health NHS Trust to support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service. The role involves providing psychological assessment and low-intensity psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified Senior CBT Therapist.

Main Duties of the Job

Key responsibilities include working with patients presenting to HTT (adults with mild to moderate anxiety or depression disorders), developing and advising on accessible sources of information for service users, and communicating across language and cultural barriers.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have an upper second-class honours degree or higher in psychology, with experience of working with people with mental health problems or other disabilities. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to form good working relationships with patients and work flexibly within MDT and multi-agency settings.

Key Result Areas

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking protocol-based psychological assessments of clients referred to the Haringey Talking Therapies (HTT) service, assisting in the coordination and running of Outreach groups, and attending and contributing to HTT business and clinical meetings.

Teaching, Training, and Supervision

The role involves developing skills and competencies that assist in the delivery of current duties, attending team training when appropriate, and receiving regular clinical supervision and management in accordance with professional practice guidelines.
