About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Recovery Officer to join our Stepdown team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and address factors that may delay timely discharge and impact on aftercare provision
  • Liaise with housing and local authorities to facilitate discharge and housing assessments
  • Coordinate support for allocated patients, including ADL support, escort to appointments, and recovery activities
  • Embed recovery values within the Stepdown service and MDT Team, and act as an ambassador for recovery with external agencies and partner organisations

Requirements:

  • Proficient problem-solving and creative solution skills to empower service users
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Good written literacy and numeracy skills
  • Awareness of local services surrounding Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, and Westminster
  • Experience of using strength-based approaches to support individuals to maximize independence and achieve their goals
