We are currently seeking a Production Team Leader to enhance our operations.

Role Overview: The Production Team Leader position is a shift-based role that requires flexibility in start and finish times to accommodate factory demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize the application of personnel and resources to meet production targets.
  • Gather and analyze production data, including downtime metrics, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Provide necessary coverage to maintain optimal machinery output.
  • Ensure adherence to established manufacturing protocols and quality standards.
  • Verify that all equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Follow escalation procedures for any quality issues.
  • Oversee the maintenance of safety equipment and conduct health and safety checks.
  • Facilitate the training of operators.
  • Monitor attendance and address any issues with management.
  • Input data into the Integrated Management System (IMS) and perform compliance checks.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure effective communication between shifts to enhance factory performance.
  • Manage staffing levels to prevent over-manning while ensuring adequate training for all roles.
  • Lead morning team meetings and daily production discussions as required.
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate them to the Engineering Team and Production Manager.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration at all times.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues using available resources.
  • Understand the operation of machinery to the extent that you can cover breaks or train personnel when necessary.

The Production Team Leader plays a crucial role within the Factory Production leadership team, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This position is essential for motivating and developing the production team to achieve daily and weekly factory objectives. An effective leader will balance machine operation duties with personnel management and production systems to maximize efficiency.
