About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Performance and Business Intelligence Unit at Essex County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in turning data and management information into business-critical insights that drive decision-making and improve the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with our Place services, including Economy, Climate, and Transport, to build a compelling picture of data and trends that inform senior leaders' decisions.
  • Use a range of analytical techniques to provide high-quality findings and recommendations that drive improvements in our services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and developers to embed an evidence-driven ethos that supports sustainable services and best practice.
  • Communicate complex messages simply and effectively to key decision-makers.
Requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytical tools, including Excel and Power BI.
  • A proven track record of producing recommendations that inspire improvements.
  • Ability to work in a Business Intelligence function, including the design and delivery of management information.
