Sustainability Compliance Officer/Technical Assistant

Contract Position

Full-time (37 hours per week)

Hybrid Work Arrangement

Join our team at Nexere Consulting to support initiatives related to environmental sustainability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing issues related to contaminated land, air quality, and private water supplies.
  • Address complaints regarding statutory nuisances and pollution-related disturbances.
  • Provide guidance to planning and licensing departments.
  • Conduct thorough inspections, investigate concerns, and implement necessary actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and engage in council discussions.

Qualifications: A degree in Environmental Health or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar capacity, particularly within local government or regulatory frameworks, is advantageous.

Technical Expertise: A solid understanding of contaminated land, air quality management, private water supply regulations, and pollution control mechanisms.

Organizational Skills: Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to handle a diverse workload effectively.
