About National Park Dartmoor

National Park Dartmoor is dedicated to safeguarding and enhancing Dartmoor's rich biodiversity, cultural heritage, and captivating landscapes. We strive to support local communities and foster a thriving rural economy.

About the Walkham Valley Landscape Recovery Scheme (WVLR)

The WVLR is a farmer- and landowner-driven initiative within the Walkham catchment. It focuses on ecological restoration through a collaborative, long-term approach.

About the Dartmoor Hill Farming Project (HFP)

The HFP is a partnership of local farmers and organizations committed to ensuring a sustainable future for farming on Dartmoor. We provide advice, skills development, funding, and a dedicated point of contact for rural communities.

About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development phase of the WVLR, ensuring alignment with environmental goals and business objectives.
  • Negotiate agreements and partnerships with farmers, landowners, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform project planning and implementation.
  • Manage a team of dedicated staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Contribute to the Dartmoor Hill Farming Project by delivering training programs and providing expert advice on agricultural practices.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a highly organized individual with proven project management experience. You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with farmers and partners. Experience in securing funding and delivering training programs is highly desirable.
