Job Role: Children's Support Worker

As a Children's Support Worker with Nurseplus, you'll play a vital role in supporting children in care and putting their needs at the forefront of everything you do.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting children in all aspects of their lives, such as educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities.

You'll work closely with children to develop and contribute towards positive outcomes that shape their futures.

Responsibilities
  • Support, safeguard, and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assist with daily routines, including working in the community and/or educational settings
  • Organise and facilitate social activities
  • Transportation and working alongside a multi-disciplinary team
  • Offer high levels of supervision and support
  • Manage complex behaviours and crisis intervention
  • Contribute to the young person's care plans and risk assessments
Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience working in a child and/or young adult setting
  • Over 21 years old to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • Diploma level 3 in children's and young people, desirable level 4
  • An enhanced DBS and a Full UK Driving License
