About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Maintenance Operative to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the M25 Tunnels and Pump Stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive tunnel vehicles when required, either on planned maintenance closures or on reactive works.
  • Assist Tunnel Maintenance Technicians with completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Complete daily worksheets and maintenance report sheets as applicable.
  • Observe all safety procedures and instructions.
  • Provide escort to appointed sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with site rules.
  • Perform manual, semi-skilled, or skilled work of any trade description under the instructions of the Tunnel Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Carry out any other duties within your capacity as required by the Line Managers.
Requirements
  • Clean UK Driver's License.
  • HGV Class 1 or 2 professional driving license.
  • Valid CPC Drivers Card.
  • IPAF Trained for MEWPS & Booms (preferred).
  • Confined space trained (preferred).
  • CSCS Safety Card or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision when requested.

  • Willingness to comply with additional training requirements for National Highways works.
  • Experience of Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance environment and regimes.
  • Good customer service skills.
