About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages Wood Norton. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest cleaning standards throughout our luxury retirement village.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that our residents' care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.
  • Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Empty bins regularly and report any safety hazards to management.
  • Perform a range of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as cleaning carpets and upholstery.
  • Wash, dry, and iron residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry, including for our on-site care home residents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, who has a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards. You will be a friendly and approachable individual who can forge strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families.
