Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages Wood Norton. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest cleaning standards throughout our luxury retirement village.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all areas of the village, including resident rooms, public spaces, and facilities, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers.
  • Empty bins regularly and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform tasks such as sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as cleaning carpets and upholstery.
  • Wash, dry, and iron residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to management and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role.
  • Basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
