Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages Wood Norton. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest cleaning standards throughout our care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards
  • Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers
  • Empty bins regularly
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors
  • Clean carpets and upholstery, and wash woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • Wash, dry, and iron residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry
  • Report all safety hazards to management and ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times

Requirements:

  • Experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role
  • Basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail and pride in work
