Electrical Systems Manager - Cross Cutting

We are Rolls-Royce SMR and we're revolutionising an industry. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a legacy project that's changing the game.

We're recruiting for an Electrical Systems Manager to deliver an industry-leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of nuclear power station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise across the lifecycle of Electrical Systems for the SMR nuclear power plant.
  • Develop and manage a team of electrical engineers, setting the work plan on a number of cross cutting topics.
  • Work closely with engineering teams from across the power station, applying a structured systems engineering approach to design.
  • Manage the delivery of the complete design of the identified systems, spanning system architecture, sub-system design and equipment specification and design/selection.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in electrical power engineering in a design function, with experience in the design of modular HV and LV distribution systems and cable systems.
  • Demonstration of technically reviewing and approving design outputs from other discipline engineers.
  • Knowledge in using electrical design packages to perform electrical system analysis and develop cable system design.
  • Experience with developing electrical requirements to support HV and LV electrical architecture.
What We Offer:
  • Salary between £57,600 to £75,600.
