Role Overview: In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining pharmaceutical production machinery, which includes troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • No overnight shifts or weekend duties, with ample opportunities for overtime.
  • Work within ISO 5 and ISO 7 cleanroom environments, utilizing personal protective equipment to perform daily tasks.
  • Supervise contractors, field service engineers, and service providers.
  • Manage life science instruments, including genetic analyzers, qPCR, PCR, RNA/DNA extractors, and DNA synthesis equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on laboratory, manufacturing, and workshop equipment, such as production automation systems, liquid filling machines, cartoners, shrink wrappers, conveying systems, and sealers.
  • Perform maintenance tasks within the cleanroom, ensuring the proper transfer of tools and materials.
  • Continuously enhance understanding of quality and productivity principles as they relate to all tasks, services, communications, and products.
  • Experience in robotics and automation engineering is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an engineering modern apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3).
  • Minimum HNC qualification in engineering.
  • Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Commitment to adhering to environmental, health, and safety policies to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC).
