Position: Research Associate/Assistant in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Combustion Dynamics
An excellent opportunity exists for a Research Associate/Assistant specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Combustion Dynamics. This role will focus on a funded research initiative aimed at exploring swirl-stabilized hydrogen premixed flames.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Construct a sophisticated Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) database for hydrogen-air premixed swirl flames.
- Examine the characteristics of the Processing Vortex Core (PVC) under varying flow scenarios.
- Determine combustor operating parameters that exhibit hydrodynamic and thermoacoustic instabilities.
- Perform comprehensive analyses on extinction strain rates and heat release rates for lean hydrogen premixed flames.
The findings from this research endeavor will play a significant role in advancing hydrogen-based energy generation and propulsion technologies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, networking capabilities, and experience in research presentations.
