Research Scientist in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Combustion

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant/Associate to join our team in the School of Engineering at Newcastle University. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Computational Combustion, with a focus on swirl stabilised hydrogen premixed flames.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver research outcomes at local and international conferences
- Interact with industry experts and engage with PhD students and the wider research community
- Contribute to the development of hydrogen based power generation and propulsion devices
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in CFD and computational combustion, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to network and influence. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
