Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx – Education Recruitment. As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN and SEMH needs in a 1:1 and small group setting.
  • Assist children with Maths, Reading, Writing, and other academic subjects.
  • Support class teachers in delivering lesson material and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and safety of children in the school.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Good understanding of SEN and SEMH needs, including strategies for supporting children with these needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with children, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
