Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist/ Psychotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Adult Psychological Support Service, you will provide a qualified clinical/ counselling psychology or psychotherapy service to cancer patients, working across our Chelsea and Sutton sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of interventions to support patients and those affected by cancer, including individual therapy and groups.
  • Work within the highly specialised area of psych-oncology to provide appropriate psychological assessments and risk management.
  • Integrate with the psychological formulation specialist knowledge of complex mental health disorders.
  • Internal and external liaison with healthcare professionals and services.
Requirements
  • Post-Graduate Doctoral level training in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology, accredited by the BPS.
  • Registration with Health Care Professions Council or Master's Degree training in psychotherapy.
  • Experience of working as a qualified clinical/ counselling psychologist/ psychotherapist with patients with cancer.
  • Experience of working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams within a hospital setting.
