Mental Health Practitioner Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Mental Health Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop your skills and knowledge in mental health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be studying for a postgraduate diploma and will have the opportunity to work with children and young people who experience common mental health difficulties, including anxiety and depression. You will also have the chance to work with educational environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services.

Main Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in education settings.
- Help children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services.
- Support and facilitate staff in education settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
- Work with educational environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services.
- Postgraduate diploma in mental health or a related field.
- Experience of working with children and young people who experience common mental health difficulties.
- Working knowledge of health, social and caring services, education, and voluntary sector, together with the relevant legislation regarding both children and mental health.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to safeguard and protect children and young people's welfare in line with the Children's Act 2004 requirements.
