REDWOOD PUBLISHING RECRUITMENT is seeking a dedicated and well-organized Foreign Rights Assistant to join a vibrant and dynamic foreign sales team. This role is perfect for individuals eager to embark on a career in publishing while utilizing their foreign language capabilities. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office presence with remote work.

As a Foreign Rights Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Foreign Sales to facilitate the licensing of publishing rights for a diverse array of titles in international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and managing sales contracts and preparing promotional materials
  • Coordinating co-edition projects
  • Responding to inquiries from international publishers
  • Providing administrative support to the foreign sales department, including maintaining the database of rights information and contacts
  • Assisting with contract processing and tracking royalties
  • Helping organize book fairs and attending events as needed

This role is ideal for a proactive and confident individual eager to deepen their understanding of the publishing industry, particularly in the area of foreign rights. The successful candidate may be a recent graduate seeking their first industry position, possessing some administrative experience and proficient IT skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, and fluency in a foreign language (preferably French, Spanish, or Italian) is advantageous, though not mandatory.

This position offers comprehensive training while allowing you to work independently within a supportive team environment.
