At Tilbury Douglas, we're committed to helping you build a successful career in construction. Our graduate building surveyor role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in cost management, contract administration, and project coordination.

As a graduate building surveyor, you'll work closely with our experienced professionals to analyze and prepare project costs, select and manage suppliers, and become an expert in contracts and financial management. You'll also have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects, developing your problem-solving skills and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and prepare project costs, including initial cost assessments and project completion
  • Select and manage suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Become an expert in contracts, financial management, and contract law
  • Assist with the monthly/quarterly compilation of data to monitor project performance
  • Meet with professionals, clients, and customers to obtain and provide information
  • Undertake costings and measurements using data collected from research
  • Monitor and manage smaller companies to ensure goods are delivered and work is completed on time
Requirements:
  • Currently studying towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle
  • Commit to a 12-week summer placement during summer 2025
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings with training
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional and dynamic team environment
