WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, requiring at least two days per week in the Chester office.

Opportunity Summary
A unique opportunity has emerged within the Cards Lab for a Product Owner capable of steering the advancement of cloud-based data products, alongside our commitment to the Lloyds Technology Centre, positioning Card at the forefront of the consumer banking data transformation efforts.

The Cards Platform is composed of talented individuals collaborating to devise innovative solutions to genuine customer and colleague challenges. This role is ideal for someone eager to cultivate thought leadership on how data can revolutionize the Card business in collaboration with experienced product managers, and subsequently drive that vision to fruition alongside CDAO and Consumer Lending Data Optimization resources.

We encourage applications from individuals with a technical background aspiring to transition into a Product Owner role, although this is not a prerequisite. The ability to pose insightful questions is crucial for a successful PO, fostering personal knowledge growth and inspiring the team to approach problems from different angles.

Our lab's mission is to assist Britain in recovering through responsible lending, and in this capacity, you will collaborate with the entire lab to ensure this objective is met.

Key Responsibilities

Establishing and executing Card Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) related to the enhancement of data and analytics capabilities on GCP. Collaborating with essential members of the Credit Card strategy to convert business and analytical needs into data solutions. Enhancing business performance and customer experience by addressing significant opportunity areas: Performance insights, business processes, and treatment automation. Unlocking the potential of advanced analytical tools such as ML and AI. Transforming customer experiences with value-added and real-time services. Supporting analyst performance and productivity. Complementing broader modernization initiatives, including risk transformation, streaming, and API integration with FISERV. Assisting data foundation activities for profiling, cleansing, quality assurance, and validation, leveraging Collibra and strategic products for Data Dictionaries, Lineage, ADS, CDEs, and Data Products. Collaborating with CDAO, Consumer Lending Data Optimization, and the broader LBG data SME and architecture communities to cultivate a thought leadership stance and an integrated backlog of changes. Advancing the operating model. Collecting and analyzing data regarding customers, competitors, and market openings to propose informed and measurable steps for business growth. Identifying data use cases, such as building new data products, origin, foundation, and consumption, to optimize data and business processes, reporting, dashboards, and analytics capabilities.

Have demonstrated experience as a Product Owner utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies to drive a vision and outcomes, with a passion for applying transformation principles and practices to foster continuous improvement in our operations. Possess intermediate skills in GCP, SQL, and Collibra for Metadata Management. Have a foundational understanding of data delivery, data warehousing, and reporting, along with knowledge of GCP technology, data governance, data quality, privacy, and controls, and their strategic relevance in a large-scale organization. Have experience in Backlog management, consistently linking this with financial planning and cost control, backed by a proven track record of delivering within budget. Are data-driven and utilize evidence-based decision-making to clarify 'why'. Are curious, with a desire to learn new skills and agile capabilities. Inspire others with enthusiasm and focus on collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working as a data product owner and related tasks. Ability to influence without authority, fostering trust and empowerment within the team. Capacity to introduce innovative ideas – we seek talented individuals who will challenge the status quo and contribute to building the Bank of the future. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience, fostering strong working relationships, and demonstrating logical and creative thinking abilities. A passion for developing new methodologies while enhancing personal skills and experience.
