Job Title: Head of Global Wordings

AXA XL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Wordings team. As Head of Global Wordings, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of wordings strategies across all three Business Units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Global Head of Litigation, Wordings and Employment Law to set the vision for Wordings at AXA XL and drive its implementation.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other Legal functions, ensuring consistency of advice and efficiency of service.
  • Take the lead on significant wordings-related initiatives, working collaboratively with other business functions.
  • Ensure the Wordings team embraces AI technology to improve efficiency and quality of service.
  • Coordinate central resources and manage demand, developing and adhering to Wordings' SLAs.
  • Establish formal and effective working relationships between Wordings, Legal, Claims, and the Litigation team.
  • Work closely with Underwriting and GCUO to develop and implement procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure awareness of applicable standards in terms of Legal input to products.
  • Responsible for coaching, developing, and motivating direct reports.
  • Demonstrate strategic leadership and role model by setting a high bar for performance, engagement, and commitment.
  • Change management – a proactive approach to Bin, Bank, and Build towards an efficient and future-focused Wordings offering.
  • Project management – working across the business, partnering with key stakeholders to drive improvement.

As a key member of the Global Legal team, you will maintain awareness of ongoing and future market-wide initiatives that could impact our business and work collaboratively to resolve/manage/coordinate any impact or response required.
