Job Title: Registered Childrens Home Manager LD

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Childrens Home Manager to join our team at Affinity Care Recruitment. As a Registered Childrens Home Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of a childrens home, providing leadership and guidance to the staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ofsted Compliance:
    • Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards, ensuring that the childrens home operates within the statutory framework.
    • Lead and participate in inspections, implementing any necessary improvements based on feedback and recommendations.
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Provide strong leadership to the staff team, fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.
    • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality care.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings and supervision sessions to support professional development and address any concerns.
  • Child-Centered Care:
    • Ensure that the children receive the highest standard of care, support, and protection.
    • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child, promoting their physical, emotional, and educational wellbeing.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and maintain robust systems for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided.
    • Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate action.
  • Communication and Partnership:
    • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with external agencies, families, and professionals involved in the childrens lives.
    • Foster positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other stakeholders.
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage the budget for the childrens home efficiently, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet the needs of the children.
    • Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting.
  • Proven track record of successful Ofsted inspections and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing childrens homes.
