About the Role:As a Registered Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children with EBD. You will lead, manage, and develop the staff team, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children with EBD.
- Lead, manage, and develop the staff team, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and Childrens Home Regulations.
- Develop individual care plans, ensuring that all young peoples emotional, physical, and social needs are met.
- Work closely with external stakeholders, including social workers, local authorities, and families.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring the home operates efficiently within financial parameters.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or equivalent) is essential.
- Proven track record with Ofsted inspections, demonstrating good or outstanding outcomes.
- Previous experience working in a Looked After Children (LAC) setting, with knowledge of EBD and challenging behaviours.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a dedicated care team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with external agencies.
- A deep understanding of current legislation and standards in childrens residential care.
