We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Engineering Specialist to join our team at the Health and Safety Executive. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of workers in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Analyze construction-related incidents to identify root causes and provide technical expertise to support investigations.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to employers and industry stakeholders on health and safety matters.
- Act as an independent expert witness in court proceedings and provide technical evidence to support legal decisions.
- Collaborate with other technical specialists to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and be a Chartered Engineer.
- Have a minimum of [X] years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Be a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers and registered with the Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Be able to assimilate complex technical information and convey it to a variety of audiences.
