Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Inspector to join our team at Maxim Recruitment. As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on construction sites in Bristol and Exeter, ensuring compliance with building regulations and warranty provider standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the principal point of contact with social housing clients regarding construction quality on site.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues at an early stage and ensure stakeholders are satisfied with the quality of the construction process.
  • Manage multiple social housing projects simultaneously, deploying excellent time management strategies to ensure efficient working practices.
  • Visit multiple sites on a regular basis, providing dictated reports and photographs to the Administration team.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the building and housing industry, with a basic technical and construction awareness and competence.
Requirements
  • Knowledgeable construction professional with experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of building regulations and the ability to read construction drawings.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office 360.
  • A formal qualification in construction, engineering, or project management would be advantageous.
