Job Title: Lead Principal Planning Policy Officer

Carrington West is assisting a Lincolnshire-based Local Authority client in their search for an experienced Lead Principal Planning Policy Officer.

This is an initial 3-6 month contract position, paying up to £60 (DOE) per hour, inside IR35.

We are looking for experienced Planners with a strong knowledge of national planning policy and ideally from a Local Authority background. The ideal candidates will work towards tight deadlines with minimal supervision and have the ability to prioritize daily workloads.

You will be an experienced and motivated Planner, degree and preferably masters qualified, with MRTPI status or working towards it. You will also have a strong knowledge of planning legislation and process, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing the broad content of policies
  • Reviewing the local plan
  • Working towards tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Prioritizing daily workloads

Requirements:

  • Experience in planning policy
  • Strong knowledge of national planning policy
  • MRTPI status or working towards it
  • Excellent communication skills
